Advanced Integrated Program
Strategic Carbon Management
Build the capability to lead organisational carbon strategy, systems, governance and implementation — not just calculate emissions.
Strategic Carbon Management combines CTI's Carbon Accounting and Offsetting pathway with advanced learning focused on organisational strategy, governance, implementation and change — helping participants translate carbon data into credible priorities, systems and action.
The full 10-unit program begins with CTI's shared Carbon Accounting intake. Choose the next available intake when enrolling. Live session times are arranged with participants before commencement so CTI can find a time that works reasonably well for the group.
Already completed CTI Accounting & Offsetting?
You only need the 2 additional strategic learning units.
Participants who have completed CTI's integrated 8-learning-unit Carbon Accounting & Offsetting pathway do not repeat that learning. Your completed learning carries forward, so you progress directly into the 2 additional strategic and organisational implementation units required to complete Strategic Carbon Management. Contact CTI to arrange the next suitable progression into these two units.

How the advanced pathway works
The full Strategic Carbon Management program contains 10 learning units.
The first 8 learning units comprise CTI's integrated Carbon Accounting & Offsetting pathway. The final 2 learning units extend that technical foundation into strategic priorities, systems, governance, implementation and organisational change.
The three offsetting units within this integrated pathway are the progression units completed after Carbon Accounting. CTI's separate standalone Carbon Offsetting course is 4 units and has separate commencement arrangements.
If you are new to organisational greenhouse-gas accounting and prefer a smaller initial commitment, Carbon Accounting remains CTI's recommended foundation for many participants.
Modular progression
A clear pathway from foundation to strategic capability.
CTI's modular structure allows participants to build professional capability progressively without repeating relevant learning already completed.
Participants enrolling directly in Strategic Carbon Management begin with the next available shared Carbon Accounting intake and complete the full 10-learning-unit program. Eligible CTI Carbon Accounting graduates need 5 additional units in total: 3 additional offsetting units followed by 2 strategic units.
